Q: How to determine the occurrence of defective parts on the system main board?

As an example, the detection solution adapts to the relevant MSTAR Motherboard:

The solution MST9E19:

When TV is in the stand-by state, the 6th foot of CON4 in the power board MLT668 outputs directly 5V voltage to the system main board. At this time, the power indicator will light on the front of the shell (usually in red). Press the "standby" button when the TV needs to enter into the starting state, then the red power indicator on the front shell should flash a while and then turn into "green light", which indicates that the program of motherboard has started normally now. The control pin "STB-H"  in the motherboard outputs HI voltage to the power supply board (eg MLT668) , then the power supply board starts 12V & 24V voltage to control the audio circuit and high-voltage board circuits, meanwhile, the control pins "5V-BK" (or BL-SW ) and "AD" (or BL-ADJ) in the motherboard MST9E19 are the high pressure backlit panel controlled by High. While the screen backlight circuit starts, the CN10 pin in the motherboard MST9E19 outputs voltage, typically which is 5VDC (has 12VDC or 3.3VDC too), and is connected to the logic board by the screen line (in general, the "red" line is the voltage output pin in the screen lead wire.). Particular attention must be paid to the power supply voltage from the logic board of the screen, to avoid that the incongruent voltage leads the screen to be damaged, dark screen or blank screen. The solution MST9E89:

When you click the "standby" button with ON, the red power indicator on the front cabinet should flash, and then the "green light" will illume, which indicates that the program of the motherboard starts normally now. After the mother board starts, the 5th foot control pin "STB -H " of the CON14 in the motherboard outputs voltage to the power board, then the power supply board starts 12V & 24V voltage to control the audio circuit and high-voltage board circuits, the and the CON2 in the motherboard outputs " ON "(or BL-SW) and the voltage pin " AD "(or BL-ADJ) outputs High to the high voltage backlight. Meanwhile, the pin CON6 in the motherboard MST9E89 outputs voltage (typically 12VDC) and is connected to the logic board of LCD screen by the screen line (in general, the "red" line is the voltage output pin in the screen lead wire.). Particular attention must be paid to the power supply voltage from the logic board of the screen, to avoid that the incongruent voltage leads the screen to be damaged, dark screen or blank screen. If it is confirmed that the fault locates on the motherboard, please do not remove or replace the major components privately without the consent of our after-service staff.
